2020 Future Teacher Conference

The 2020 Oakland University Future Teacher Conference is geared toward high school students who are interested in pursuing a career in education. All students will receive a free t-shirt and lunch in the Hillcrest Residence Dining Hall. Schools who do not have official Teacher Cadet/Future Teacher programs are welcome to attend as well. For liability reasons, all students are required to have a teacher or chaperone attend. We recommend one teacher (or chaperone) per 10 students.

K-12 Teacher Breakout Sessions:

Teachers will have an opportunity to connect with other program instructors, MDE representatives, as well as OU faculty/staff. Sessions will include Trauma Informed Teaching, Closing the Gap Between K-12 and Post-Secondary Learning, and an open session with reps available from MDE.

After registering, all schools will be required to send a list of all students who are attending to teach@oakland.edu.

No refunds issued after March 10, 2020.
