Structural Engineering - Fall 2015

Structural Engineering - Fall 2015

This will be a project-based course. Various structural engineering concepts will be applied into these projects. Students will be building a bridge out of Popsicle sticks. They will compete on the last Saturday to see who built the best bridge given a specific list of guidelines and expectations. Through out the course, students will attend mini-lessons on structural analysis concepts and ideas. They will continuously adjust, rebuild, and redesign their bridge based on what they learn. This class is for high school students.
