The 2019 Diverse Lineages of Existentialism II (DLE II) conference is co-sponsored by George Washington University, American University, George Mason University, the Ambassade de France, the Art Museum of the Americas, and Hypatia: A Journal for Feminist Philosophy. 19 participating societies have organized panels for DLE II in addition to our General Sessions. They include the California Roundtable on Philosophy and Race (CRPR), Caribbean Philosophical Association (CPA), Collegium of Black Woman Philosophers (CBWP), Foucault Circle, Interdisciplinary Coalition of North American Phenomenologists (ICNAP), International Kierkegaard Network, International Merleau-Ponty Circle (IMPC), Irigaray Circle, Kristeva Circle, Latina/x Feminisms Roundtable, Nietzsche Society, North American Levinas Society, North American Sartre Society (NASS), philoSOPHIA: a Society for Continental Feminist Philosophy, Philosophy Born of Struggle (PBOS), Society for Asian and Comparative Philosophy (SACP), Society for the Advancement of American Philosophy (SAAP), Society for Mexican-American Philosophy (SMAP), and The International Simone de Beauvoir Society.

Although there are several local hotels in walking distance to the Marvin Center, room reservations are also available in the Thurston Hall student dormitory on the GW campus. You will be able to select this housing option during the event registration process.

The price for a 2-3 person room in Thurston Hall is $46 per night and single rooms are $64 per night. (Please note that single rooms are only available for disability-related requests, and shared rooms could have 3-4 people in them). In addition, there will be a $25 per person fee that covers linens and on-site key pickup/dropoff fees. Each room will have a refrigerator, microwave and an adjoining bathroom. There will also be coin-operated laundry facilities available on each floor.

Dorm room reservations must be made by May 1,2019.
