GW Body Composition & Metabolism Workshop

Event date: 09/28/18 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Milken Institute School of Public Health, 7th FL Executive Case Room

This workshop is for anyone who wants to learn more about the role that metabolism plays in weight management, and how diet and exercise affect the metabolism. The goal of this clinic is to teach the practitioner how to create exercise and/or nutrition plans based on an individual client’s unique metabolism. Participants will learn how to use data from metabolic testing and body composition measurement to design nutritional strategies that promote simultaneous fat loss and muscle gain. Participants will also learn what resistance training strategies are most effective for improving the metabolism, and how to incorporate these strategies into their day-to-day program design. The biopsychosocial factors that influence dieting behavior and behavior change will also be explored.
