Event Description: This preconference will be an intensive workshop led by expert faculty from MLPB – the founding site of the MLP movement – and Lancaster General Hospital, a Camden Coalition member, together with the National Center for Medical-Legal Partnership. Additional expert faculty from active complex care MLP projects will also provide a range of insights and practices for participants. Workshop format and activities will combine presentations and facilitated group discussions to share resources, best practices and strategies for planning, screening, data collection, training and funding. With a faculty/participant ratio of 1:10, participants will have ample opportunity to advance their understanding of how complex care practices can successfully plan for, and implement, the integration of legal services into their model.

The target audience is clinicians, allied practitioners, care coordinators, and the range of health care leaders, administrators and students/residents who practice in the complex care framework. A small number of slots will be allocated to legal professionals who accompany their health care partners as part of a team.

(2) Describe the activities and impact of multiple peer complex care practices that incorporate legal services;
